When it comes to selling your home there is a lot to consider. One of the biggest factors to consider is color. We’ve all seen those listing photos that have some insane color in a room that just immediately puts you off from even considering that house.  You don’t want that to happen to you. Below are some tips and tricks to consider when you are putting your house on the market.

  • Stick with neutral colors, but don’t over do it! You don’t want to paint your entire house white and make it feel stale and unwelcome. Make sure to use a combination of neutrals that will still make it feel warm and like a home.
  • Consider the room. If you have unique colored cabinets keep them especially if they work really well with the space. Stick with lighter colors in small rooms to help them feel bigger.
  • Add an accent wall. If you really want to have that pop of color add an accent wall! Especially in a big living room or entry way. Still stick with those more neutral tones though like, navy blue or forest green. Colors that people will see and won’t automatically think “great we have to paint that” like Barbie pink.
  • If you already have a pretty neutral place and want to add some color to be more inviting consider furniture as accent pieces. For example adding some pillows with a pop of color that go with your curtains. This is easier because even if potential buyers don’t like the color, it’s not a big deal, because you will be taking all of your furniture with you!
